The Canada PR visa is a popular option for anyone looking to immigrate to Canada. Canada’s pro-immigrant policies and government encouragement for immigrants to come and settle here have motivated many to try to immigrate here.
Also, settling in Canada promises a comfortable lifestyle and adequate living conditions. There are countless job opportunities and the promise of personal freedom.
One of the options to migrate to Canada is to obtain a Permanent Resident (PR) visa. With a PR visa, you will receive permanent resident status. The validity of a PR visa is five years and can be renewed later.
The PR visa does not make you a citizen of Canada; you remain a citizen of your home country.

As a PR visa holder, you can enjoy the following benefits:

How To Get Canada PR Visa
Step 1 – Complete your language skills tests
One of the main requirements for Express Entry is proof of language ability. You will need to take IELTS to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
You can also take a relevant French language test such as Test assessment de Francians (TEF) to further improve your ranking.
Step 2: Create a profile for Express Entry
You will need to create an Express Entry profile online on the IRCC website to begin your Express Entry process.
Step 3: Complete your ECA
If your education was completed outside of Canada, it is recommended that you complete an educational credential assessment. Completing an ECA can provide an additional 150 points to your comprehensive qualification score.
Step 4: Apply for provincial nomination (optional)
You can also choose to apply to one of several provincial nominee programs that are administered by the different provinces in Canada. If you are successfully selected for a provincial nomination, you can get an additional 600 points on your score.
Step 5: Receive an invitation to apply
Once your application is approved and you meet the CRS minimum score in the Express Entry lottery, you will receive an invitation to apply. Once you receive an ITA, you must submit a complete application within the next 90 days.
Step 6: Complete criminal and medical background checks
You will need to complete a health check with a doctor from a qualified panel of doctors approved by the Canadian Immigration Authority and submit it to IRCC.
In addition, you will need to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from each city in which you have resided for more than six months continuously in the past.
Step 7: The Canadian immigration officer reviews the application
During this step, you will have no active parties, but your application will be reviewed by an immigration officer. However, you must be prepared to provide any additional requirements, if requested, during this phase.
Step 8: You will receive PR status confirmation
During this step, you will receive confirmation of your permanent resident status. You can have your application processed faster in certain categories. For example.
If you apply for the Canadian Experience Class, your application will be processed within 3-4 months. You will receive a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) card at this stage.
Step 9: Apply for your PR card
Congratulations! This is the last step in your Canadian immigration process and you are now eligible to travel to Canada. You will need to apply for your RP card and you can use it to get in and out of Canada as you wish.
