Eligibility Criteria

Candidates and parents should not be citizens of Korea. They must be international students. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree for a master’s scholarship. The candidate must have a master’s degree in a doctoral program. Proof of English proficiency.

Official postgraduate certificate and transcript of degree
Master’s degree and official transcript (applicable to doctoral students)

Financial coverage

The Seoul national university scholarship for International Students in South Korea 2022 is a fully-funded scholarship and will cover all expenses. The details of the grants are presented below:

Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students(GSFS)

The total Tuition fee for a maximum of 4 semesters
Cost of living: KRW 500,000 per month

Silk-Road Scholarship

The total Tuition fee for a maximum of 4 semesters
Cost of living: maximum of 600,000 KRW per month for 4 semesters
Airfare: maximum KRW 1 million for an economic return trip
Korean language training fee: fee waiver at the Language Teaching Institute

Korean Government Scholarship Program(KGSP/GKS)

The total Tuition fee for a maximum of 4 semesters for a master’s degree and 6 semesters for a doctoral degree.
Cost of living: KRW 900,000 per month
Airfare: an economical round trip
Korean language training fee: for one year
Korean language training is mandatory and, when the student does not obtain TOPIK grade 3 within one year, he/she cannot participate in the degree program.
Others: medical insurance, research fund, thesis printing fees, liquidation, and return costs.
