Eligibility
1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, have good moral character and academic excellence, and be in good health, both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholarships. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.
3. Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China.
4. Have received either the admission notice or the invitation letter issued by BLCU.
Funding
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including a tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

Required Documents for Online Application
BLCU Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form: Complete the application form for the China Link Program.
Passport Copy: Submit a scanned copy of your passport’s home page. Ensure your passport meets the validity requirement: it must be valid for at least six months beyond the start of classes. If your current passport does not meet this requirement, obtain a new passport before submitting your application.
Certificate of Study or Employment: Provide a document verifying your current status as a student or employee.
Academic Transcripts: Submit copies of your academic transcripts. (This requirement is waived for in-service Chinese language teachers.)
Language Proficiency Certification: Include a valid language proficiency certificate (e.g., HSK, IELTS, TOEFL). A certain level of Chinese proficiency is recommended to ensure effective class participation. Refer to Attachment 2 for the specific Chinese language requirements for your chosen major.
Study or Research Plan: Submit a study or research plan of at least 500 words, detailing your objectives and goals for studying in China.
Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Submit a photocopy of the completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The original should be retained by you. This form:
- Must be completed in English.
- Must be signed by the attending physician and stamped by the hospital.
- Must include a sealed photograph of the applicant.
- Incomplete forms or those missing the necessary stamps or signatures will be considered invalid. Note that the results of the physical examination are valid for only six months, so plan accordingly.
Non-Criminal Record Certificate: Provide a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by your local public security authority. This certificate should be issued within six months prior to your application submission date.

- Translation Requirement: Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must include notarized translations in either Chinese or English.
