Applications are now open for the Einstein Fellowship Berlin 2027, a prestigious fully funded research fellowship in Germany designed for outstanding young thinkers from around the world. The program is jointly funded by the Einstein Forum and the Daimler and Benz Foundation, providing an exceptional opportunity for scholars, researchers, and innovators to pursue independent intellectual projects in Germany.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be under the age of 35 and have a university degree in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. Applications must include a CV. A two-page project proposal.

Two letters of recommendation. All documents must be received by June 1, 2024. It is not relevant if the candidate started working or if he currently has a Ph.D.

At the end of the scholarship period, the fellow must present his project at a public conference at the Einstein Forum and at the Daimler and Benz Foundation.

A successful application must demonstrate the quality, originality, and feasibility of the proposed project, as well as the candidate’s superior intellectual development.

The proposed project does not have to be fully completed during the scholarship period, but it could be the start of a longer project.

Financial coverage

Einstein Fellowship Berlin 2027 through the Einstein Forum will cover almost all costs, such as:
