About the GOALS Erasmus Mundus Master Program

The GOALS Master’s (Global Sport, Ethics, and Management) is a unique joint degree program that focuses on the interdisciplinary aspects of sports management, ethics, and communication. It’s designed for candidates with a background in:

• Sport Management: Sociology, marketing, finances, event management, communication, etc.
• Business/Management: Sociology, marketing, finances, event management, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the GOALS Erasmus Mundus program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Requirements

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 180 ECTS) in a relevant field such as sport management, business administration, or sports studies.

Final-year undergraduate students can apply with an official certificate of registration. However, they must provide proof of graduation by August 30, 2025.

Language Proficiency

Since the program is taught in English, non-native speakers must demonstrate a B2 level (CEFR) of English proficiency. Accepted certificates include:

• IELTS: 6.0 to 6.5
• TOEFL iBT: 88
• Cambridge First or Advanced
• Alternatively, a certificate confirming 2 years of full-time studies in English.

Required Application Documents

Ensure you submit the following documents in PDF format through the online application portal:

1. Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (or equivalent) and English translation.
2. Official Academic Transcript and English translation.
3. Curriculum Vitae (CV) (preferably using the Europass template; max 3 pages).
4. Valid English Proficiency Certificate.
5. Passport or Valid ID (for EU citizens).
6. Two Recommendation Letters: One academic and one professional referee (emails for referees must be provided during application).

Note: No motivation letter is required, but you will express your motivation directly in the application form.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Online Application

• Complete the online application form in English.
• Submit all required documents by the deadline: of February 16, 2025.
• Upon submission, you’ll receive an automatic acknowledgment email (check your spam folder if not been received).

Step 2: Interview for Shortlisted Candidates

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 20-minute online interview (March 2025 to early April 2025).
• The interview will assess your motivation, critical thinking, and understanding of sports management.

Step 3: Final Selection

• Applications are evaluated based on academic achievements and interview performance (each weighted 50%).
• The Selection Board will finalize a list of approximately 50 applicants.

Scholarship and Self-Funding Options

The final selection will result in two lists:

1. Main List: Eligible for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or self-funding.
2. Reserve List: Candidates may be offered a place if there are withdrawals or may opt to self-fund their studies (subject to available spots).
