The Global Water and Sanitation Center (GWSC) has exciting news for students pursuing a Master’s degree in engineering, environment, and management studies. The center is proud to announce the establishment of the ‘GWSC Scholarships for outstanding students and young professionals from developing countries who aspire to contribute to their nation’s development.
The primary objective of these scholarships is to support students who are passionate about the fields of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). As a newly established center at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the GWSC aims to expedite and support WASH strategies in Asia and beyond. The center is leveraging funding from governments, international financing institutions, and other development partners to achieve this goal to host global water and sanitation initiatives.
Thanks to generous funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the GWSC is currently hosting several vital initiatives, including the Technical Assistance Hub (TA Hub), the Development and Scaling up of the Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS), Improvement of the National Sanitation Dashboard (NSD), and Women in Sanitation Enterprises Project (WISE). These initiatives are designed to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities in developing countries.
If you’re a passionate and motivated student or young professional from a developing country, the GWSC Scholarship can provide you with a life-changing opportunity to advance your education and make a positive impact on your community.
