Slovakia International Visegrad Fund (IVF) Scholarships (Funded)

The International Visegrad Fund (IVF) is a prestigious multilateral donor organization established on 9 June 2000 by the four member states of the Visegrad Group (V4): the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Headquartered in Bratislava, Slovakia, the Fund aims to strengthen regional cooperation through education, research, culture, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.

The official working language of the International Visegrad Fund is English, and its programs are open to both V4 and non-V4 countries, making it an excellent opportunity for international students, researchers, artists, NGOs, universities, and public institutions seeking funding in Europe.

International Visegrad Fund Programs & Eligibility Criteria

1. Visegrad Grants

Designed to support regional cooperation projects involving:

  • NGOs
  • Public institutions
  • Municipalities
  • Universities and research centers

Key Requirements:

  • Participation from at least three V4 countries
  • Cross-border projects between two neighboring V4 countries are also eligible
  • Project duration: up to 18 months
  • Funding: Up to 100% of project budget
  • Overhead costs: Up to 15% allowed

2. Visegrad+ Grants

Focused on democratization and transformation in Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum participation of three V4 countries + one non-EU partner
  • Project duration: up to 18 months
  • Funding coverage: Up to 100% of eligible costs

3. Strategic Grants

Strategic Grants address the annual priorities of the Visegrad Group.

  • Mandatory participation from all four V4 countries
  • Project duration: 12 to 36 months
  • Funding: Up to 100% of project budget

Application Procedure

Applications must be submitted online only through the official International Visegrad Fund application system

Registration requires a valid email address

All project proposals and scholarship applications must be completed before the deadline

Consultations with IVF staff are possible up to 14 days before the deadline

No changes or consultations are allowed after submission
