Are you a mid-career policy researcher investigating Canada’s role in the Indo-Pacific? The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) is now accepting proposals for the John H. McArthur Research Fellowship, a fully funded program designed to advance Canada–U.S. strategic engagement and Indo-Pacific policy analysis. Named in honor of Dr. John H. McArthur—former Chair of APF Canada’s Board and Dean Emeritus of Harvard Business School—this fellowship empowers scholars to produce high-impact, policy-relevant research that shapes Canada’s diplomatic and economic strategies in a rapidly evolving region.
Now in its fourth year, the 2025–2026 cycle has expanded to support four Fellows exploring critical intersections of North American and Indo-Pacific relations. As global trade patterns shift and security dynamics intensify, Fellows will generate forward‑looking insights on topics ranging from critical minerals strategy to digital trade governance.
