KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)

Application is now open to apply for the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship In Indonesian 2025 for international students. Indonesia Ministry of Education and Culture offers free study abroad international scholarships for bachelor, master, and Ph.D. degree programs. It is a fully-funded Indonesian government scholarship for a foreign student.

All the student expenses and tuition fees are covered by the Government of Indonesia. The Indonesian Scholarship 2025 offers a variety of academic fields such as Humanities, Engineering, Science, Education, and Social Science. The scholarship is offered to future students from developing countries to obtain their bachelor’s & master’s degrees at one of the 16 leading universities in Indonesia.

The duration of the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship 2025 for the bachelor’s degree scholarship is 8 semesters and for the master’s degree 4 semesters. The KNB scholarship opens the opportunity to experience life in a nation with the greatest cultural diversity in the world while studying and earning a master’s degree.

Eligibility Criteria

Requirements For Bachelor Degree Scholarship:

The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 25 years old.

Hold a High School degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that a bachelor’s degree holder is not eligible to apply for the bachelor’s Degree scholarship.

Have the English Proficiency Test Score as follows: IBT TOEFL of 80, IELTS of 6.0, TOEIC of 700 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).

Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassyorthe Indonesian Consulate General.

Requirements For Master’s Degree Scholarship:

The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 35 years old. Hold a bachelor’s degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that master
a degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Master’s Degree scholarship.

Have at least an IBT TOEFL score of 80, or IELTS score of 6.0, or a TOEIC score of 700 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).

Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassyorthe Indonesian Consulate General.

Requirements For Doctorate Degree Scholarship:

The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 40 years old.

Hold a master’s degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that a Doctorate holder is not eligible to apply.

Obtain a recommendation letter from the potential research supervisor in one of the universities providing partner of the KNB Scholarship.

Provide a statement of purpose that at least states the purpose of their studies, the origin of their interests in studying in Indonesia and pursuing their chosen research topic, and their plans for the academic future (dissertation proposal).

Scholarship Coverage

The KNB Scholarship covers:

A Settlement Allowance of IDR 1,500,000 will be given to new students upon their arrival in Indonesia;

While taking the Indonesian language course and preparatory programs, the new students will only receive a living allowance and book allowance that will be distributed monthly;

During the Academic Program, the KNB students will receive a monthly allowance that consists of a living allowance and a research and book allowance;

Health insurance with a maximum of IDR 400,000 monthly premium (In case the cost of medical services exceeds those covered by the health insurance, the difference should be borne by the student);

A round-trip international airfare (economy class) from the international airport of the student’s home country to Indonesia, including local transport to the host university;
