Monbukagakusho MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)

Application is now open to apply for the MEXT Japanese Government scholarship 2025. This is a fully-funded international Japan scholarship program for international students. This year, the Monbukagakusho MEXT Scholarship will be offered  9,500 Scholarships to Undergraduate, Master’s, Training/ Ph.D./Doctoral Degrees from Japanese Universities.

There is no need for IELTS/TOEFL. All foreign students of any nationality and interested in studying at the Undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral level with a fully funded Japanese scholarship 2025 are encouraged to apply for a scholarship. All academic fields and majors are available under the Monbukagakusho MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship 2025.

The MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship is open to all the participants from Asia, the Pacific, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa who have diplomatic relations with Japan.

Duration of the MEXT Scholarship 2025

• Undergraduate: 4-5 Years
• Masters: 2-3 Years
• Ph.D.: 3-4 Years

Fields of Study

As stated above, the Japanese government offers all kinds of study options available at all Japanese universities, from social sciences to engineering, medicine, health, arts, humanities, etc. There are no restrictions in academic fields.

Financial Coverage

MEXT Japan Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship for international students to study in Japan for free. All expenses will be borne by the Japanese Government.

• Allowances: Monthly Aid, Preparatory Aid
• Education Fees: MEXT will pay the entrance exam fees and college tuition fees.
• Travel expenses: MEXT will cover your round trip airfare from your country to Japan, the ticket will be an economy class ticket for the flight.
• Accommodation: residences for international students provided by universities.

General Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.
• A candidate who has Japanese nationality at the time of application is not eligible.
• Candidates, in principle, must have been born as of April 2, 1985.
• Master’s Course: Candidates who have completed 16 years of school education in countries other than Japan.
• Doctoral Course: Candidates who have completed 18 years of school education in countries other than Japan.
