National University of Taiwan Scholarships 2025 (Fully Funded)

Application is invited to apply for the National University of Taiwan Scholarships 2025. This is a fully-funded scholarship program for international students for study Bachelors’s, Master and Ph.D. Degree Programs. NTU provides a variety of scholarships for international degree students. 

The National University of Taiwan offers all major academic fields and subjects. It is the most Prestigious Comprehensive University in Taiwan and one of the top-ranking universities in Asia.

Below is an overview of scholarships available for prospective students applying to NTU. Applicants will be asked whether to apply for NTU scholarships during the online degree application. No extra documents are needed. 

National University of Taiwan Scholarships

  • Country: Taiwan

Scholarships for Prospective Undergraduate Students:

Duration: 4 years

Benefits: This scholarship is divided into

  1. Tuition waiver + monthly stipend of TWD 6,000 (USD 200)
  2. Tuition waiver 

Scholarships for Prospective Graduate Students

Applicable degree: master’s and PhD

Duration: 2 years for master’s, 3 years for PhD

Benefits:

  1. Master: Tuition waiver + Monthly stipend of min. TWD 6,000 (USD 200)
  2. Ph.D.: Tuition waiver + Monthly stipend of min. TWD 8,000 (USD 265)

Requirements: Those interested in applying for the NTU Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship should contact their potential supervisor to meet scholarship eligibility requirements.

Note: Tuition waiver is limited to TWD 130,000 per academic year.

Taiwan Government Scholarships

MOE Taiwan Scholarship:

Applicable degree: bachelor’s, master’s, PhD

Duration: 4 years for bachelor’s, 2 years for master’s, 4 years for PhD

Benefits: benefits differ between undergraduate and graduate degrees:

  1. For bachelor’s: tuition waiver of up to TWD 40,000 (USD 1,333) + monthly stipend of TWD 15,000 (USD 500)
  2. For master’s and Ph.D.: tuition waiver of up to TWD 40,000 (USD 1,333) + monthly stipend of TWD 20,000 (USD 666)

Note: this scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education is available for students from countries ineligible for the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship.

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship:

Applicable degree: bachelor’s, master’s, PhD

Duration: 1 year for pre-degree Mandarin Language Program (LEP) + 4 years for bachelor’s, 2 years for master’s, or 4 years for PhD

Benefits: 1 economy-class return tick for coming to Taiwan and returning to one’s home country + a monthly stipend:

  1. for pre-degree LEP: a monthly stipend of TWD 25,000 (USD 833)
  2. for degrees: a monthly stipend of TWD 30,000 (USD 1000)
