Applications are now open for the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Science and Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship 2026. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NTU Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:

Be citizens of Asian countries or regions (excluding Singapore).

Be admitted to a full-time undergraduate degree program in Computing, Engineering, or Science, leading to a first degree, except the Renaissance Engineering Programme and Medicine.

Possess outstanding Year 12 equivalent qualifications.

Have an excellent record of co-curricular activities.

Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and potential.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The NTU Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for the normal program duration, subject to the scholarship holder maintaining exemplary academic performance and conduct.

Full coverage of subsidized tuition fees (after the Tuition Grant) and all compulsory miscellaneous fees.

Living allowance of S$6,000 per academic year.

Annual accommodation allowance pegged at the lowest double room rate for on-campus accommodation.

Settling-in allowance of S$200 (one-off).

One-off computer allowance of S$1,750.

Travel allowance to cover transport costs for the incoming journey from the home country to Singapore at the start of the course, and return passage upon completion of the course (subject to proof of employment).

Application Procedures

The application process for the NTU Science and Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship runs concurrently with the admission application period. Applicants must first submit their application for admission before applying for the scholarship.

To apply:

Submit your admission application.
Use your assigned application number to apply for the scholarship before the closing date for that qualification. Late applications will not be considered.

A Personal Essay of up to 300 words is required as part of the scholarship application. Applicants can choose from three topics provided in the scholarship application form.

Required Documents

Upon completing the application form, applicants must:

Upload a recent passport-size photo (digital image).

Submit a referee’s appraisal online. The appraisal must be completed by a school teacher who is not a family member or relative. Applicants will receive a URL to forward to their teacher after submitting their scholarship application. The teacher must complete and submit the online appraisal form within 7 days of the scholarship application. If additional time is needed, the appraisal should be submitted as soon as possible, preferably within 2 weeks. Only one appraisal may be submitted to support the application.
