SWUFE Chinese Government Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded)

Application is invited to apply for the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Scholarship 2026. The SWUFE Chinese Government Scholarship “University Program” is designed to attract exceptional international students to pursue postgraduate degrees (Master’s & Ph.D.) in China. This program follows a structured selection process based on individual applications, university recommendations, expert reviews, and merit-based admissions.

• End Date: February 20, 2025 (Beijing Time)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality & Health: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports and meet health standards as per the regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
2. Conduct: Adherence to Chinese laws and SWUFE regulations is mandatory.
3. Educational Background:
   • Master’s Program: Bachelor’s degree required.
   • Doctoral Program: Master’s degree required.
   • Final-year students must provide proof of impending graduation.
4. Age Limits:
   • Master’s applicants: Under 35 years.
   • Doctoral applicants: Under 40 years.
5. Language Proficiency:
   • Chinese-Taught Programs:
     • HSK Level 4 or above is required.
     • Direct degree study: HSK Level 5 (180+ points).
     • Preparatory study available for HSK Level 4 holders.
   • English-Taught Programs:
     • English-native applicants or those with 2+ years in English-medium education are exempt from language tests.
     • Others require IELTS (6.0+) or TOEFL (80+).
6. Direct Application: Applications must be submitted directly to SWUFE.

Application Process

1. CSC System Registration:
   • Register and submit applications at CSC Online Application System.
   • Select “Type B” and use SWUFE’s agency number: 10651.
2. SWUFE System Registration:
   • Submit applications at SWUFE International Students Service System.
   • Application fee: 600 RMB (non-refundable).

Two recommendation letters

Study plan (1,000+ words)

Language proficiency certificate

Passport copy (valid through March 2026)

Selection & Admission Process
