Tampere University Scholarships In Finland 2026 (Funded)

Tampere University in Finland seeks to recognize high-achieving international students with outstanding academic potential. The application is now open to apply for the Tampere University Scholarships in Finland 2026, which are part of the prestigious Finland Government Scholarship program for international students.

Applicants to fully funded Master’s degree programs in Finland 2026 are eligible to apply. These Finland scholarships for international students are awarded to the most merited applicants in each Master’s program, making it a highly competitive opportunity.

The Finland Government Scholarship 2026 at Tampere University covers the full tuition fee scholarship in Finland for the first year of studies and includes a €5000 relocation grant for international students in Finland. The grant is paid directly to the student’s Finnish bank account after arrival in Tampere and the start of academic studies.

In addition, Tampere University provides a Tampere University tuition fee scholarship for the second year of studies, ensuring that all Finland scholarship recipients receive 100% tuition coverage for Master’s programs in Finland. Tampere University tuition fee scholarships

Tampere University tuition fee scholarships awarded at admission cover 100% of the tuition fees for the program duration. The program duration is

  • three years for Bachelor’s degrees
  • two years for Master’s degrees
  • five years if the study right is granted for both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree.​​​ 

The prerequisite for retaining the Tampere University tuition fee scholarship throughout the program duration is progressing in studies at the normative pace. In order to retain the full tuition fee scholarship in the following year of studies, the recipient must earn at least 55 credits during the academic year as detailed in the personal study plan.

If a scholarship recipient completes 50-54 credits during the academic year, his or her scholarship will be reduced to 50% in the following academic year. If a scholarship recipient completes less than 50 credits during the academic year, he or she will be charged the full tuition fee in the following academic year. 

These conditions also apply to the Tampere University tuition fee scholarship awarded for the second year of studies to recipients of the Finland scholarship.

Early bird offer

In addition to scholarships, an early bird offer is available at admission to all fee-paying students, excluding students who have been awarded a Tampere University tuition fee scholarship or a Finland scholarship at admission. The early bird offer gives a 50 % reduction on the program tuition fee during the first year of studies.

Students may take advantage of the early bird offer by accepting the offered study place and paying 50% of the first-year tuition fee within two weeks of receiving admission information.

This offer is valid only for the first year of studies. During consecutive years of study, all fee-paying students are eligible to apply for Tampere University Scholarships awarded during studies.

How to apply for scholarships

To be considered for the Tampere University tuition fee scholarship or the Finland scholarship, you must apply for the scholarship as part of your application for admission during the application period for admission. 

Bachelor’s Programs: Applications open on January 7, 2026, and close on January 21, 2026.

Master’s Programs: Applications open on December 15, 2025, and close on January 5, 2026.

You will apply for Tampere University Scholarships and Finland Scholarships using the same online application you used to apply for admission at Studyinfo.fi.

To apply for the scholarships, you will be asked to indicate which scholarships you wish to apply for (if applicable), describe in writing in a scholarship application letter on the application form the academic qualifications that support your merit-based scholarship application, and your motivation for applying for a Tampere University scholarship (max. number of characters 3500). No additional attachments are required for the scholarship application.
