Belgian Government Scholarships
The Belgian government offers 3 different types of government scholarships for international students. All scholarship is fully funded and all student expenses are covered by the scholarship authority.
#1. VLIR-UOS Belgium Masters scholarships
VLIR-UOS Belgium Government Masters scholarships are awarded to selected students from developing countries including Asia, Africa, and Latin America to support their master’s study in Belgium. This scholarship is usually offered in the development-related field. The scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, allowance, travel costs, and other costs related to the program.

#2. Flemish Government Master Mind Scholarships for International Students
The Flemish government scholarship also known as the Master Mind scholarship aims to promote internationalization between Flemish and all other countries. Master Mind Scholarship for Developing countries is a fully-funded study grant. I
t grants up to 35 scholarships to master’s students from all countries. The student receives a scholarship of a maximum of 7,500 euros per academic year. The Flemish host institution can request the applicant a fee of up to 100 euros per year.
#3. Erasmus Mundus Scholarship programs
Erasmus Mundus supports high-quality European master’s courses and improves the visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in third countries. The Euroculture Master program offers several Erasmus Mundus scholarships to enter in 2022.
The student scholarship covers participation costs, a monthly allowance for living expenses, and a contribution to travel and installation costs. Each beneficiary will receive € 1,000 per month for living expenses during the 24 months of the program.

Belgian Universities Scholarships For International Students
#1. Science @ University of Leuven Scholarships
The University of Leuven scholarship is known as Science @ Leuven Scholarship for international students which aims to attract talented and motivated international students to study for a master’s degree at the University of Leuven.
The value of the scholarship can reach 10,000 euros for 1 year. The scholarship will always cover one-year tuition, insurance, and basic health insurance coverage. The amount granted for living expenses may vary.
#2. The University of Ghent Scholarship for developing countries
The University of Ghent offers complimentary scholarships for applicants from all OESO-DAC countries who wish to obtain a master’s degree at the University of Ghent.
The scholarship consists of a grant of 1,000 euros per month and comprehensive insurance. The new name of the Ghent University scholarship is ‘Ghent University Top-up Grants’.
#3. Université de Liège Scholarship for international students
The University of Liège offers scholarships for EU and non-EU students who wish to obtain a master’s or doctorate from the university. This is a fully-funded master’s scholarship in Belgium grant for an international student to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and accommodation.
The Liège University highly ranked university in Belgium and also holds a good ranking around the globe.

Belgium Institution Scholarships for International Students
#1. ARES Belgium Scholarship
Each year, ARES awards an average of 150 master’s scholarships and 70 training scholarships through courses for nationals of developing countries. The scholarship covers international travel expenses, subsistence allowance, tuition, insurance, housing allowance, etc.
#2. Belgian American Education Foundation Scholarship
The Belgian American Educational Foundation (B.A.E.F.) encourages applications from U.S. citizens or permanent residents and international students for advanced scholarships or research during an academic year at a Belgian university or higher education institution. B.A.E.F. It will award up to ten scholarships, each with a master’s degree of $ 27,000 or a doctoral scholarship of $ 31,000 for postdoctoral fellows.
