Scholarship Benefits
Tuition fees apply to degree students who begin their studies in English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programs on or after August 1, 2018, and who are not citizens of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland.
The tuition fee is an academic fee covering the cost of tuition. It does not include living expenses such as accommodation, meals, and transportation. Students must independently finance their living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the admissions criteria and be liable to pay the tuition fee to qualify for the University of Oulu Scholarship 2026. The scholarship application will be considered only if the applicant fulfills the admissions criteria. The University of Oulu Scholarship can be awarded only once.
Citizens of EU/EEA Countries or Switzerland: Citizens of EU/EEA countries or Switzerland enrolled in an international Bachelor’s or Master’s program at the University of Oulu are exempt from paying tuition fees.
Citizens of Non-EU/EEA Countries: Students who are not citizens of an EU/EEA member state or Switzerland must pay the tuition fee.
How to Apply
There is no separate application system for the University of Oulu International Scholarship. Applications for the scholarship are submitted alongside the application for the chosen study program in the Studyinfo portal.
The application period for the University of Oulu International Scholarship is January 8 – January 22, 2025 (15:00/3pm, GMT +2).
