The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships are designed for talented candidates from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries, as classified by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). These scholarships enable recipients to undertake 12 months of research at a university in the United Kingdom.
Offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC), this prestigious scholarship scheme aligns with the UK’s international development objectives. It is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Operating under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) framework, the program highlights the UK’s enduring commitment to the Commonwealth.
The CSC aims to support exceptional individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop as leaders and innovators. Upon returning to their home countries, scholars contribute to sustainable development, foster international collaboration, and strengthen partnerships, aligning with global progress and the UK’s national interests.
