Erasmus Mundus CoDaS Scholarships 2026 (Fully Funded)

Applicants can apply for available scholarships when they apply to the CoDaS program. All applicants who have applied for the scholarships are considered for them. The competitive allocation of scholarships is based on application evaluation criteria. As defined in the Finnish Universities Act, the scholarship decision cannot be appealed.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship covers the program fee (8,000 EUR/academic year) for the normative duration of studies (two academic years). Additionally, the Erasmus Mundus scholarship holder receives 1,400 EUR/month for subsistence costs for the duration of the program, up to 24 months.

Students who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are not eligible for another scholarship through the EMJM program. Similarly, students already funded by an EMJM for their master’s course cannot receive further European Union scholarships during the entire duration of their master’s studies.

During the EMJM action implementation (admissions 2024-2027), no more than 10% of the total number of scholarships are awarded to students from the same nationality.

CoDaS Scholarship

The CoDaS scholarship is a program fee waiver, covering the program fee (8,000 EUR/academic year) for the normative duration of studies (two academic years).

Contribution to Individual Needs of Students with Disabilities

Enrolled students (with or without a scholarship) with disabilities (e.g., long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments) may receive contributions to costs related to the acquisition of special items or services (e.g., assistance by third persons, adaptation of the work environment, additional travel/transportation costs).

The support for such individual needs takes the form of special needs unit costs:

Enrolled students must declare the type of items/services needed and their cost. The applicable unit cost will be the rate corresponding to or immediately lower than the estimated expenses. This unit cost is a contribution and is not intended to fully cover the actual costs.

Program Fee

The program fee for the CoDaS program is 8,000 EUR/academic year. The fee is the same for all students, regardless of citizenship.

What is Included in the Programme Fee?

Tuition fees: educational expenses such as courses, academic supervision, exams, counseling, and university support services (e.g., student services, library services, IT services) as per university regulations.
Insurance: accident and health insurance meeting the minimum requirements published by the EACEA for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters.
Summer school participation
Conference participation
For students without an Erasmus Mundus scholarship: 300 EUR contribution for travel costs to the second-year host university.

What is NOT Included in the Programme Fee?

Travel from and to the original country of residence
Visa and residence permit-related costs
Possible travel costs to internship positions, summer job positions, or thesis positions, if applicable
Accommodation and personal living expenses
Textbooks, personal computers, printers, or study materials the student decides to purchase
Any other compulsory or voluntary local costs (e.g., student union fees, thesis casing) as per university rules or national legislation.

Application Process

Fill in and submit the online application form during the application period. You can edit your application form within the application period before submitting it. Late applications or unsubmitted applications will not be considered.

All application documents must be uploaded to your application form by the given deadline. The deadline cannot be extended. Documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered; the final deadline is the same for all applicants.

Your application and required documents will be reviewed for general eligibility requirements. Only eligible applications proceed for academic evaluation. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

The application form is available only during the application period. Each applicant can submit only one application form. The application platform supports modern browsers. The recommended browser is Google Chrome (latest version) for the best performance and security. The platform also supports Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge, though you may encounter performance issues or glitches.
