Scholarship Details and Eligibility

Award Details: The scholarship includes:

Full coverage of tuition fees, including any mandatory field trip expenses.

A tax-free living allowance of GBP 22,000.00.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must:

Be nationals and residents of a sub-Saharan African country.

Commit to returning to sub-Saharan Africa upon completing their MSc.

Demonstrate financial need for the scholarship.

Meet LSHTM’s English language requirements.

Hold a first degree with at least an upper second-class equivalency.

Secure an offer of admission for a full-time MSc program at LSHTM for the 2025-26 academic year.

Preference will be given to candidates who show potential for significant contributions to public health or health-related research in Africa.

How to Apply

The application process comprises two essential steps:

Step 1: Submit MSc Program Application Candidates must apply for a London-based MSc program at LSHTM as per the instructions on the program’s webpage. Ensure your GBP 50.00 application fee is processed to avoid delays.

Step 2: Complete Scholarship Application Once your program application is submitted, you will receive an email with access to the online scholarship portal. Search for the ‘GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders,’ complete the necessary questions, and submit your application before the deadline of 23:59 (GMT) on Wednesday, 05 March 2025.

Scholarships are only available for non-distance learning intensive MSc programs at LSHTM.
