Are you an early-career scientist eager to push the boundaries of fundamental life sciences research? The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) invites applications for its prestigious Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) 2026, offering a fully funded, three-year postdoctoral opportunity to explore bold, interdisciplinary questions abroad. Administered by the International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO), the HFSP LTF empowers researchers to forge new collaborations, challenge conventional methodologies, and unlock discoveries that impact global health and biology.
What Is the HFSP Long-Term Fellowship?
Target Audience: PhD holders in basic life sciences (e.g., molecular biology, neuroscience, biochemistry)
Duration: Up to 3 years of support
Aim: Promote international, interdisciplinary research distinct from prior PhD/postdoc work
Unlike the Cross-Disciplinary Fellowship (CDF), which welcomes candidates from non-biology backgrounds, the LTF is tailored for scientists rooted in life sciences who seek to expand their expertise and network in a new country.
