Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
1. At Personal Risk
- Must demonstrate credible threats such as:
- Physical danger
- Arrest or persecution
- Denial of civil or educational rights
- Threats due to ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, political stance, or civic engagement
2. Academic Qualifications
Valid certificates that allow admission to higher education (verified through anabin database)

Application Procedure (Nomination-Based)
The Hilde Domin Programme does not accept direct applications. Candidates must be nominated by a recognized institution.
Step 1: Nomination
Candidates must be nominated by:
- A German university
- A German research institute
- A German-based human rights, democracy, or peace-promotion organization
Step 2: DAAD Plausibility Check
DAAD verifies the candidate’s risk situation and eligibility.
