Ministry of Taiwan Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded)

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Taiwan Fellowship, applicants must:

Be non-Taiwanese citizens

Be affiliated with academic institutions as:

  • Professors or Associate Professors
  • Assistant Professors or Postdoctoral Researchers
  • Doctoral Candidates or Doctoral Students

Specialize in fields including Taiwan studies, Sinology, Asia-Pacific studies, cross-strait relations, or social sciences & humanities topics related to Taiwan

Conduct research that aligns with Taiwan’s foreign policy, security, or cultural initiatives.

Application Process

🔹 Step 1: Online Application

Visit the Taiwan Fellowship Application Portal

Submit your online application between May 1 – June 30, 2025

🔹 Step 2: Submit Documents by Post

By July 1, 2025, post the following to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), Prague:

  • Printed applicant data form from the online system
  • Curriculum Vitae (including publication list)
  • Research Proposal (3 pages, in English, following academic standards)
  • Two recommendation letters, or one recommendation + one institutional consent letter
  • Envelope should be labeled: “Application for the 2026 Taiwan Fellowship”
