Amount of Scholarship
The Dalarna University Scholarships are financial awards that directly reduce the tuition fees of eligible international students. The scholarships cover a percentage of the total tuition fees, ranging from 10% to 50%.
Once awarded, the scholarship value is automatically applied to the student’s tuition fee balance, in set amounts each semester, throughout the duration of their program. These scholarships provide significant financial relief to international students and support their academic pursuits at Dalarna University.
Other (Non-DU) Scholarships
The Swedish Institute offers a limited number of scholarships that cover 100% of tuition fees and living costs for students studying for a Master’s degree at a Swedish University starting in the autumn intake.
Students interested in the Master’s Programme in Solar Energy Engineering who are citizens of developing countries may qualify for a scholarship offered by the Global Sustainable Electricity Project.
How To Apply
A complete scholarship application has three parts:
- The online scholarship application
- A CV/résumé (uploaded to your University Admissions account)
- A video where you explain why you should receive a scholarship
To apply for a scholarship from Dalarna University, you must create a video (not exceeding 60 seconds) that explains why you should be awarded the scholarship. This video should be uploaded to a website or cloud storage that can be viewed by the scholarship committee. You must include the link to the video in your scholarship application. The video must be viewable using only the link provided, and no documents should be sent directly to Dalarna University.
You can use any device to create the video, and there are many websites that allow you to easily create one using a laptop with a webcam. The online application form and all required documents must be completed and uploaded by the final deadline (September 30 or March 15, depending on the semester). Incomplete applications will not be processed.
