EPFL Master Excellence Scholarship in Switzerland 2024 (Funded)

Application is invited to apply for EPFL Scholarship in Switzerland 2024. EPFL stand for École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland. This is a fully-funded Switzerland Scholarship program for international students to study for Master-level applicants & for Ph.D.

The duration of the EPFL master’s program is 1-1.5 years & for Ph.D. is 4 years. At the Master’s level, EPFL offers a limited number of fellowships to students with outstanding academic records. These fellowships are financed by EPFL and through partnerships with private foundations or companies.

EPFLglobaLeaders is a new doctoral fellowship program funding early-stage researchers to become leaders in the transition toward sustainable societies. Forty-eight doctoral fellows will benefit from a multifaceted training program, including a secondment in the non-academic sector.

Amount and benefits

CHF 10’000 per semester
Reservation of a student room in a student residence (for “external” students only)
A certificate of excellence (at the end of the master’s program)

Fellowship holders will be responsible for covering all expenses on their own (including tuition fees, and rent). The fellowship will be paid for 4 semesters maximum (3 semesters for a 90-credit master’s program) provided that the fellowship holder is registered as a regular EPFL student (see section 4.6).

No extension is possible, even in case the student decides to take a minor or for any other reason that might extend the duration of studies.

Eligibility

Anyone applying to an EPFL master’s program is eligible. EPFL grants a limited number of fellowships to
the most deserving candidates based on their academic records.

Cumulating this fellowship with other substantial scholarships is not possible. Candidates are required to
declare all the scholarships they receive during their master’s. If the master’s at EPFL is a second master’s degree, candidates are not eligible for an excellence fellowship.

How to apply

The application should contain:

 a CV
 a motivation letter
 2 recommendation letters from professors familiar with students’ work and achievements
 a transcript of all grades earned at EPFL
