Finland Government Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)

Application is open to apply for Finland Government Scholarship 2025 for international students. The Finnish Government Scholarship 2025 offers an abroad scholarship program for a bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degree to study in Finland. Finland scholarship for developing countries covers all student expenses during the study period.

The most important thing about Finland Scholarship 2025 is that you can apply to up to 6 programs in one application form. All academic program is offered in English languages and lastly, there are no application fees for Finland study abroad scholarships.

The last date for applying for the scholarship in Finland is 22th January 2025. All international students of any nationality are eligible to study free in Finland. Also, there is no course restriction because Finland Scholarship 2025 offers all courses and areas for study.

Finland Scholarship 2025 Coverage

There are no separate applications for the Finnish government scholarship. By default, your application will be considered for scholarships when you apply for admission.

Finland has a centralized admission system. You only need to select the program of several universities and apply online. You do not need to contact teachers or anyone else. The scholarship is automatic in obtaining admission.

All universities offer several percentages of the exemption of tuition OR tuition + monthly help (fully funded).

You can find some programs in the list of exceptions, limited funds for a specific entry, and only the scholarship and the department can provide a vital grant.

How to apply for a Finnish government scholarship

How and when you apply depends on the degree programme. Start by searching for the study programmes you’d wish to apply to in the Studyinfo.fi database. After choosing your programmes, it is easy for you to check the application period and other admission-related details with those particular universities.

JOINT APPLICATION

The Studyinfo.fi joint application to studies starting in autumn (September) is arranged annually in January (8–22 Jan in 2025). All degree programmes available via the joint application share the same application period. Joint application also means that you can apply to up to six degree programmes with one single application.

A small number of degree programmes may also offer a January study start option. To these, the joint application period is usually open in September (28 Aug–11 Sept in 2024). Note however that the September joint application has a limited selection of programmes on offer compared to the January joint application.

SEPARATE APPLICATIONS

Some degree programmes may have their application periods open outside the joint application period. You can read more about separate applications at Studyinfo.fi. In separate applications, the application period can vary a lot depending on the programme.

In many cases, the separate applications periods fall between the period from late November/early December to late January, for studies starting in autumn, but some universities/UAS’s may also offer application options through rolling admissions over a period of several months. Check the exact application period with the university/UAS of your choice.
