Imperial College London President’s Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded)

Application is invited to apply for Imperial College London doctors scholarships for international students. This is a fully-funded Study in the UK scholarship program for a foreign student. Applicants of any nationality are highly encouraged to apply for Imperial College London scholarships 2024.

This scholarship in London covers student tuition fees as well as living expenses, accommodation, and award monthly stipend. There is 50 Study abroad scholarship available under this program. An applicant who just finished their bachelor/undergraduate degree is also available to apply directly to the doctoral President’s Scholarship Imperial.

Imperial College London is a public research university located in London. In 1851, Prince Albert built his vision of a cultural area, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Royal Colleges, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Imperial Institute.

Academic criteria

Candidates must receive of, or due to receive, a first-class or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree; and/or  

Candidates with a standalone Master’s qualification must have achieved a distinction or, where this has yet to have been achieved, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction.  

Candidates with degrees from overseas institutions should check with the relevant Admissions team if their scores/grades are equivalent to the scholarship entry criteria.

Other criteria

Applications are accepted from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the UK, and worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality, although some departments may be unable to support international candidates.

The scheme is only open to new Ph.D. applications. Currently, registered Imperial Ph.D. students are not eligible to be considered for a President’s Ph.D. Scholarship.

Who can apply?

This competitive scheme has higher than usual eligibility requirements (see eligibility criteria below), attracting candidates that show excellent academic performance and promising research potential. 

We accept applications from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the UK, and worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality.

Both full-time and part-time study on the scholarship are available.

Scholarship benefits

Selected applicants will receive the following financial support from Imperial College London President’s Ph.D. Scholarships.

• Full Tuition fees
• A scholarship of £ 21,400 per year. That is enough to cover accommodation and living expenses.
• £ 2,000 per year for your other expenses

Deadline

Successful candidates will receive written confirmation of their scholarship. Any offer of a PhD place will be conditional on the candidate receiving the predicted qualifications.

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 6 November 2023 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by the end of January 2024. 

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 8 January 2024 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by the end of March 2024.

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 4 March 2024 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by the end of May 2024.

How To Apply

The scheme is open to applications for scholarships 2024-25.

There is no specific application form for scholarships. You must submit your application for admission to study at Imperial through our online admission system and your department will refer you to the scholarship based on merit and academic potential.

When prompted for a personal statement, you must ensure that it consists of approx. 1000 words (maximum 2 pages) and describe your academic and research achievements to date, briefly explaining your planned research project.

The selection panel will not consider statements that exceed the 2-page limit. You can send updated versions of this statement, if necessary, after applying.

To be considered for the President’s Doctoral Scholarship program, candidates must select this option in the funding section of the additional questions guide on the online application form.
