Application is invited to apply for Hakuhodo Foundation Japanese Research Fellowship for international student. This is a fully-funded research scholarship that will cover all expenses of selected applicants. The duration of the Hakuhodo Research Fellowship will be 1 year or 6 months.

In order to further strengthen the foundations of international research in Japan and deepen understanding of Japan, the Japanese Research Fellowship invites leading international researchers in the Japanese language, Japanese language education, Japanese literature, and Japanese culture to Japan to conduct residential investigations.

Applicants having a Research background, Postdoctoral Degree or any research interest can apply for this International scholarship. All Nationality student are highly encouraged to apply for this Exchange Program. There is NO Registration Fee neither Any IELTS/TOEFL

Eligibility Criteria

Have educational training in research.
Researchers with a Ph.D. can also apply for this Japanese scholarship.
Sufficient command of the Japanese language to be able to conduct research in Japanese.
Foreign citizen residing outside of Japan or Japanese citizen who has lived outside Japan for 10 years or more and has been active in the academic community, etc. of the country of their residence.
Able to remain in Japan continuously during the fellowship period and participate in research reporting sessions organized by the Foundation.
