UM-Holland High Potential Scholarship award grant of €29000 which will cover student tuition fees and living expenses.
Maastricht University master’s scholarship is open for all international students living outside of Europe. A variety of academic disciplines are available for master’s degree programs under the Holland scholarship for non-EEA international students. It requests to apply as soon as possible for a master’s degree scholarship in Holland. The application received after the deadline will not be considered for the Netherlands master scholarships.

Holland Scholarship 2025 Criteria:
To apply for a master’s degree scholarship in the Netherlands, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
All international applicants are eligible to apply for the Netherlands Scholarship 2025, except the EU / EEA. The applicant meets the requirements to obtain an entry visa and a residence permit for the Netherlands.
The candidate must meet the admission requirements for the master’s program for which he has applied. Candidates applying for the scholarship must have a bachelor’s degree to proceed with a master’s program.
You are not older than 35 years of age on 1 September 2025. You have never participated in any degree program in the Netherlands.
Maastricht University Scholarship 2025 Coverage
The Maastricht University scholarship will cover the following expenses during the scholarship program:
- Cost of living (€ 12,350 – 13 months)
- Cost of living (€ 23,750 – 25 months)
- Health insurance will be provided during the scholarship program
- Visa application costs (€ 171) will be covered.
- Tuition fees (€ 13,800, € 15,500, or € 16,800, depending on the rate of your study program)
- Pre-academic training costs (€ 695)

How to apply for UM-Holland Scholarship 2025
Step 1: Register for one of the participating master programs at UM (participating program)
For further details on how to register for a master’s program at UM, please see your prospective program webpage. Once you have submitted your application via Studielink, you will receive a student ID number for UM. You will need a student number in order to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.
Please note: only the master programs in the list above are eligible for a UM NL-High Potential scholarship.
Please note: you first have to apply for the master’s program at UM to receive your student ID, as soon as you have your student ID you can apply for the scholarship. However, you must be conditionally approved for admission to your master’s program to be awarded a scholarship.
Please note: if your study program requires the payment of a handling fee as part of your program’s admissions procedure, the UM International Services Desk does not cover handling fees. You are responsible for paying any handling fee your program may require by 1 February 2025.
