Scotland Scholarships for Young Women and Girls (Fully Funded)

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls—funded by the Scottish Government and administered by the British Council Pakistan—provides vital support for female students pursuing higher education at Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized universities across Pakistan.

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.

Eligible Subject Areas

Funding is granted strictly for degree programs in the following fields:

• Education
• Sustainable Energy
• Food Security and Agriculture
• Health Sciences (excluding core clinical medical sciences like MBBS/BDS)
• STEM Engineering (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics — strictly for Master’s/MPhil programs)
• Climate Change & Environmental Sciences

Key Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality & Status: Must be a Pakistani female citizen currently residing in Pakistan.
2. Admission Status: Must hold a valid offer letter or proof of current enrollment in a 4-year Bachelor’s or 2-year Master’s/MPhil program at an HEC-recognized university.
   • Conditional Offer Note: If your university admission results are announced after the deadline, you may still apply. If shortlisted based on financial need and merit, you will receive a conditional offer until your admission letter is provided.
3. No External Testing Needed: GRE or IELTS scores are not required.

The Award

Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls Scheme will facilitate award-holders with the following:

Tuition fees for courses in eligible fields

University hostel costs (where applicable)

Travel to and from home to university two times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels

Funds for research work to access quality labs, equipment, and tools within the chosen course of study (for master’s only)

Required Application Documents

All documents must be uploaded in clean PDF format via the online portal:

CNIC / Form-B: Copies for both the applicant and parent/guardian.

Financial Verification: Salary slip, pension slip, or formal income proof of parent/guardian.

Academic Records: Transcripts/certificates of the most recently completed degree.

University Documents: Admission/offer letter and the official fee structure breakdown (tuition and hostel fees, if applicable).

Visit the Portal: Go to the official British Council Pakistan Scotland Scholarships Page.

Select Program Form: Choose either the Bachelor’s Application Form or Master’s/MPhil Application Form.

Complete & Upload: Fill in your personal, academic, and financial background details, and upload all supporting documents as requested.

Submit: Submit your application before August 31, 2026.
