Application is invited to apply for the university of canterbury scholarships in New Zealand 2024. This is a fully-funded New Zeeland scholarship 2024 for an international student to pursue a bachelor’s degree. UC scholarship 2024 covers all student expenses and tuition fees for undergraduate degrees.
All international student of any nationality is eligible to apply for the new Zealand bachelor scholarship. Local and Australian citizens are not eligible to apply for this international abroad scholarship program in 2024. The applicant must have a high school degree for the UC bachelor scholarship.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and support top-achieving international students who have completed, or are currently completing, studies at either an overseas institution or the University of Canterbury International College (UCIC) and will be commencing an undergraduate degree program at the University of Canterbury.

Eligibility Criteria
Recipients must be full-fee-paying international students.
Applicants may not be:
- citizens of New Zealand or Australia;
- Permanent Residents of Australia; or
- holders of New Zealand residence class visas.
Applicants must be completed, or have completed on or after 1 January of the year before the year
of application, through an overseas institution or at the UC International College (UCIC), a university
entrance-level qualification that permits entry into a University of Canterbury undergraduate degree
program. Those studying at the secondary level in New Zealand are not eligible.
Applicants, by the closing date for the round in which they are applying (15 April or 31 October),
must have applied for admission to the University.
The scholarship is not tenable by students who have already undertaken partial study in an
undergraduate degree program at a New Zealand tertiary institution.3

Note that there are three rounds for the UC International freshman scholarship:
- April 15 (for study in the year of application)
- August 15 (for international students studying in New Zealand on that date.
- October 31 (for international students studying abroad on this date. For studies in the year following the year of registration)
