Application is invited to apply for FULLY FUNDED Young Professional Fellowship Bali 2024. The Program emphasizes on incorporating cultural diversity, the inclusion of numerous ethnicities, and interfaith harmony for generating citizens with an elevated sense of responsibility and high caliber.
“Young Professional Fellowship Program” is an active initiative by MAPS to help resolve global issues by inviting audiences from around the world and providing them with a professionally organized platform for that. After its successful recent conduction in Canada, MAPS is extending YPF westwards, by launching “Young Professional Fellowship Bali 2024”, which will be an event of long lasting positive impact, socialization and resolution of World issues.
In this race of advancement, young residents of the world have been playing a dual role of generating new shifts and adapting to them simultaneously. From Environmental issues to its policy making, youth has a part to play in every field. For this reason, youth of today needs active mentoring and training to equip them with practical skills and leadership abilities so they will be the flag bearers of World Peace in the future and confident enough to share their efforts in analyzing and plausibly solving the emerging world issues.

Scholarship Benefits
There are three tiers offering varying levels of support:
Fully Funded: This tier covers airfare (reimbursement up to a specified amount), accommodation, meals (breakfast or lunch), conference materials, and participation in all program events, including the cultural evening and celebration party.
Partially Funded: This tier includes accommodation, meals (breakfast and lunch), conference materials, and participation in all program events, including the cultural evening and celebration party.
Self-Funded: This tier allows you to participate in the program by purchasing a delegate package (Full Experience or Half Experience). Regardless of the package you choose, you’ll receive a certificate, conference materials, and be invited to the cultural evening and celebration party.
There will be 150 seats in total. It will be broken into three categories: Fully Funded, Partially Funded and Self-funded.
There will be 15 Fully Funded spots, 25 Partially Funded spots, and 110 Self Funded spots.
The placement of applicants into such categories is at the discretion of the MAPS selection committee and based on the participants’ application, social experience, and leadership.

With reference to the subject areas listed on machine learning under section PhDs, I am writing to express my interest in the Computer Science program starting in fall 2024. I recently completed my master’s degree with Artificial Intelligence engineering, and this doctoral program is exactly what I seek to leverage my experience within the field of professional scientific research.
To shortly introduce myself, my name is Mohammad Ordikhani, I have a diploma in mathematics, and I studied Software Engineering during my bachelor’s, and after that, I studied Artificial Intelligence for my master’s from Tarbiat Modares University, one of the most prestigious universities in Iran. My master thesis was about the prevention and risk assessment of cardiovascular diseases using machine learning methods, specifically explainability methods in machine learning. I designed a new genetic algorithm, based on my interest in both Artificial Intelligence and its real-world applications. The study focused on developing an explainable artificial intelligence model and applying it to a medical data set to produce risk scores easily understood by humans. Furthermore, other research projects gave me hands-on experience with a variety of machine learning methods, helped me improve my time management skills, and engaged me in a great deal of teamwork. The results of my thesis have been published in the PLoS One Journal under the name of “an evolutionary machine learning algorithm for cardiovascular disease risk prediction”
Besides my research for my master, I also worked in collaboration with Tehran Heart Clinic and used machine learning to order syncope patients. The results of my project have been published with name of “predicting serious outcomes in Syncope patients using data mining techniques” in the IEEE journal.
I am hardworking and analytical and I like taking initiative. I am also interested in participating in other research projects, especially the one your lab is working on. Moreover, currently, I am working at Shariaty hospital as a researcher and I am a member of Golestan cohort. I am the AI researcher in this team for several projects in machine learning. We have a massive dataset in this project and I am working on cancer prevention and finding the risk factors, and I try to build models for risk assessment.
