500 CAS-ANSO Chinese Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the CAS-ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China — a fully funded scholarship program for international students who want to pursue Master’s and Ph.D. degrees at some of the top universities in China.

The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is offering 500 fully funded scholarships — including 200 for Master’s and 300 for Ph.D. programs. Recipients of the CAS-ANSO Chinese Government Scholarship will study at world-renowned institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or other prestigious CAS institutes.

In 2026, the scholarship also introduces the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO Ph.D. Sub-Category, focusing on candidates from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and female researchers, in line with the global priorities of TWAS and UNESCO. Each year, up to 40 outstanding Ph.D. students from developing nations will be selected for this special initiative.

The duration of the CAS-ANSO Master’s Scholarship is up to 36 months, while the Ph.D. Scholarship extends up to 48 months, offering comprehensive financial support covering tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipends, health insurance, and international travel.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in studying in China at USTC or UCAS with a fully funded CAS-ANSO scholarship 2026 must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Not be Chinese (international students). For the Master’s Program, students must have a bachelor’s degree or transcript and must have been born after January 1, 1993.

Students must have a master’s degree or a doctoral degree. Programs must have been born after January 1, 19868.

Have good physical and mental health. Have leadership skills, management skills, and volunteer experience.

Must have strong research skills or research interests. Demonstrate command of English or Chinese

Financial Coverage

The CAS-ANSO Young Talent Scholarship is fully funded for international students in China.

Monthly scholarship:

• Master: 3000 RMB / month
• Ph.D.: 6,000 or 7,000 RMB / month (depending on whether you passed the qualification test organized by the USTC / UCAS).
