Application is invited to apply for the East China Normal University Shanghai Government Scholarship 2025. The scholarship allows Undergraduate level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at East China Normal University. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health. Well performed both academically and behaviorally.
Undergraduate applicants whose Chinese proficiency reaches HSK Level 3 but does not meet the requirements for major study can take the 1-year pre-college program and get the full scholarship. If they do not meet the requirements for major study after the completion of the pre-college program, they will be treated as Chinese language students.

Scholarship Coverage
1) Type A (Full scholarship)
Exempt from tuition fee.
Provide accommodation on campus: economical double room (public restroom). If you choose to live off-campus and get approval from the university, the off-campus living allowance is 700 RMB/month/person.
Living allowance: 2500 RMB/month.
Provide comprehensive medical care insurance for International Students: 800 RMB/person/year.
2) Type B (Partial scholarship)
Exempt from tuition fee.
Provide comprehensive medical care insurance for International Students: 800 RMB/person/year.

Eligibility
Application Target

Degree Requirement
Applicants for the pre-college program must have a high school diploma and be under 23.
Applicants for undergraduate programs must have a high school diploma and be under 25.
Language Requirement
Chinese language proficiency is required to meet the admission requirements of the major applied for.

Applicants should register and apply online through http://lxsapply.ecnu.edu.cn/. Submit an online application and pay the application fee.

Note
1) Application documents sent by email or fax are not accepted.
2) Applications with missing documents or failing to pay the application fee are not accepted.
3) Application documents and application fee will not be returned whether the applicants are admitted by ECNU or not.
4) Applicants DO NOT need to send the hard copy of the application documents by post.
ECNU has the right to require applicants to provide original application materials or authentication documents issued by a designated institution for further inspection.
Step 2: Track Application Status Online
Check your email or log in to your ECNU online application account to track your application status.
* Make sure your email address is correct and check your email occasionally, you will receive some IMPORTANT INFORMATION, eg. the arrangement of the interview, etc.
Step 3: Admission and University Enrollment
The final result of your application will be announced both in your application account and on the noticeboard of the Global Education Center website (http://lxs.ecnu.edu.cn/). Admitted students must register on time with the original graduation certificate and degree certificate. Students would not register if they could not provide the relevant graduation certificate and degree certificate.
