Application is invited to apply for Universitas Sebelas Maret Scholarships 2024 In Indonesia. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) invites prospective international students to pursue bachelor, master, and doctoral degree programs at UNS through self-funding and the UNS Scholarship scheme.

Sebelas Maret University is an Indonesian public university in the suburban area of Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It was officially founded on March 11, 1976.

This UNS fully-funded scholarship is available to pursue Undergraduate / Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD / Doctoral degree programs in 13 majors/fields.  The Indonesian scholarship is available for up to 8 semesters for Undergraduate / Bachelor’s, 4 semesters for Master’s, and 6 semesters for PhD / Doctoral programs.

UNS Scholarship

UNS provides financial assistance for selected international students (competitive).

The types of the scholarship are:

1. Full Scholarship covering
   1. Tuition fee waiver
   2. Monthly living allowance
      • IDR 1,000,000 for bachelor program
      • IDR 1,250,000 for master’s’s program
      • IDR 1,750,000 for doctoral program
   3. Free Indonesian language course
   4. Student dormitory (sharing room)
   5. Breakfast meal at a student dormitory
2. Partial Scholarship covering
   1. Tuition fee waiver
   2. Free Indonesian language course

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Be non-Indonesian citizens (those who hold Indonesian citizenship are not eligible). Show a strong interest in seeking a degree program at UNS. Be willing and able to attend an interview over a video call

Not have hold refugee status. Not have been convicted of felony or significant crimes which caused the applicant to be imprisoned. Have financial support. Complete all the required documents

Language Requirements

Applicants must show competence in English, shown by a TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 450 for natural science programs and 500 for social science programs, or certificates of other academic English proficiency tests having equivalent scores.

Applicants who get admitted are required to complete the Indonesian language course organized by the UNS Language Centre. This course is covered by the scholarship.

Lectures are mostly taught in Indonesian language, not English. That is why the Indonesian language course is highly essential for accepted students.

Document Requirements

The following documents are required for student admission:

1. Recent formal photograph
2. Color scan of a valid passport having at least 18 months of validity (cover page & identity page).
3. Certificate of graduation from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)
4. Academic transcripts from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)
5. Recent health certificate (in English or Indonesian language)
6. Curriculum Vitae (template provided)
7. Financial statement (template provided)
8. Personal statement (template provided)
9. Certificate of Indonesian language proficiency (strongly preferred)
10. Certificate of English language proficiency
11. Letter of recommendation #1, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master and doctoral programs)
12. Letter of recommendation #2, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master and doctoral programs)
13. Preliminary research proposal to be developed into a dissertation (for doctoral program)
14. Motivation letter
15. Recommendation letter from the nearest Embassy of Indonesia

How to Apply 

Applicants are required to follow the procedure below:

Applicants download the Letter of Offer at https://uns.id/offeringletteruns2023. 

Applicants learn and look for the study program that fits their interests. A list of available programs and the curriculum/courses can be checked at http://uns.id/listofcourses.

Applicants prepare the required documents.

Applicants visit the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General in their country to request a recommendation letter, by bringing the following documents:

• Letter of Offer from UNS
• Passport
• Graduation certificate
• Academic transcriptApplicants create an admission account using their email.

• Applicants fill out their personal information.
• Applicants submit all the required documents in the “Upload Document” section.
• Applicants save and print a registration card after submitting the required documents.
• Administrative selection will be conducted by the admission committee.
  All student candidates who pass the administrative selection are eligible for the next selection stages.
• Computer-based tests will be conducted.
• The next stage is interview selection.
• Successful candidates will be notified and provided with a Letter of Acceptance.
• Student candidates send confirmation to study at UNS.
• UNS applies for a study permit and student visa.
• Admitted students come to UNS upon receiving notification from UNS.
