The Z Zurich Foundation enables vulnerable people to better protect themselves from risks and to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. We aspire to a more equal world, where everyone has independence, choice, and power over their own future.
The Z Zurich Foundation’s pillars of adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, and promoting social equality are not causes we choose randomly. We believe that the key to creating a better future is connection: fostering relationships between those in the know and those most in need, and together meeting the challenges of society from the beginning.
That’s why Z Zurich Foundation is committed to supporting impactful leaders to attend the annual One Young World Summit, the world’s most international forum for young leaders. The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2022 will allow 16 young leaders working on the Foundation’s pillars to participate in the One Young World Summit 2022, held in Tokyo, Japan, from May 16 to 19.

Scholarship Benefits
Access to One Young World Summit 2022 in Tokyo. Access to the additional scholarship program organized by the Z Zurich Foundation. This schedule is likely to include before and after the One Young World Summit, including calls and meetings with the broader Zurich Insurance Group delegation, as well as the opportunity to apply for funds that can help increase its impact.
Shared accommodation in a hotel in Tokyo between May 15 and 19 (inclusive). Return trip by plane. Catering includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ground transportation between Summit locations in Tokyo.
Selection Criteria
Aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2022. Passion for local and global problems. Demonstrated commitment to creating positive change.
Willingness to participate and collaborate with the Zurich fellows and staff who are also participating in the Summit.
Demonstrated impact in a field aligned with the work of the Z Zurich Foundation, namely:
- Adapt to climate change
- Improving mental well-being
- Enable social equity
The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2022 deadline will be 15 December 2021.
